Sheila Meyer has extensive knowledge and experience breeding, showing and working with dogs.
Sheila became a member of KUSA in 1976. For the past fourteen years she has also been a Member of the KUSA Eastern Cape & Border Provincial Council as well as the Chairperson of KUSA affiliated Quinera Working and Herding Breeds Club.
Sheila Meyer is probably best known as one of top breeders and trainers of Dobermans in South Africa. So far she has bred 28 Doberman S.A Breed Champions, several Specialist Doberman Bitch of the Year winners, several Junior Doberman Bitch/Dog winner as well as Supreme Doberman of the Year.
She has also bred and trained various Dobermans that attained working qualifications. To make her achievements even more exceptional is that apart from two foundation bitches, all her breeding bitches are ‘home-bred’!
She also has extensive experience training professional security dogs and is a Club Committee member of the Border German Shepherd Dog Club and ABTS.
Sheila completed the Ethology Academy Basic Dog Behaviour Course in 2000 and in 2001 the Advanced Dog Behaviour Course (Cum Laude). She also did the Basic Horse Behaviour Course in 2002.
